Philippe Katerine gets completely naked for his first column on France Inter

The singer sang his song “Nu”, completely naked, during his first weekly column on the France Inter morning show on Thursday.

“Let’s live as we were born, naked…” Singer Philippe Katerine put his words into action on Thursday, August 29, shortly before 9 a.m., for his first weekly column on France Inter. The man who had already caused a stir a few weeks earlier, during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, by singing naked and painted blue, performed completely naked in the studio of France’s leading radio station.

Once seated in his seat, under the amused and surprised gaze of the presenters, Philippe Katerine removes a white towel that covered his private parts. With his legs crossed, he begins his column and justifies this outburst: “The management offered me this position and asked me to sing my song Notand it’s true that I can’t bring myself to sing this song while dressed.”

Philippe Katerine continues, to general disbelief: “If it shocks you, you can imagine that I am painted entirely in flesh color. We only see what we want to see, don’t we? ?” He then continues with his column, as if nothing had happened, evoking the controversy after his appearance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games and multiple anecdotes, then he launches into singing his song. Over a piano melody, he hums: “Would there be wars if we had remained completely naked? ? No. Where to hide a revolver when you’re naked? ? Or ? I know what you’re thinking, but this is not a good idea…” The chorus invites us to live “just naked”.

Amidst loud applause, Philippe Katerine ends his column. “Exceptional”says Nicolas Demorand, presenter of the morning show with Léa Salamé, who then invites listeners to watch the video. They will meet him next Thursday for another column, perhaps just as surprising.
