It was an extreme tattoo session gone wrong. Brazilian influencer Ricardo Godoi died at the age of 45 on Monday from a heart attack. As reported by the Daily Mail, the man who had 225,000 subscribers on Instagram, thanks to his photos of luxury cars, died on the operating table of a private hospital in the south of Brazil while he was under general anesthesia to get a full back tattoo.
This Monday, January 20, Ricardo Godoi warned his followers on social networks that he would be “back after 4 p.m.”. In the meantime, the Brazilian had rented a private hospital and used a tattoo studio in the coastal town of Itapema. But nothing went as planned.
“As the sedation and intubation began, he went into cardiac arrest. This happened before they even started tattooing him. He was quickly examined and a cardiologist was called to try to resuscitate him, unfortunately without success,” the owner of the tattoo studio told the Daily Mail. A police investigation into his death has been opened.
The 45-year-old Brazilian had built his small empire importing and selling luxury sports cars, including Ferraris and Lamborghinis. He was the own boss of his company in his name Godoi Premium Group. On Instagram, he shared his expensive lifestyle and displayed himself next to all the vehicles he sold: from all types of Porsche to the Tesla Cybertruck.
