The comedy duo returns with a new comedy, more political than their previous film, about the desertification of the countryside and the uneasiness of farmers. The previews have just started.
Their new film won’t be released until March 19, but the Bodin’s have already launched a marathon of previews. After the box of Bodin’s in Thailand, The Bodin’s are going into a tailspin will take them from the Agricultural Show to Morocco.
During a preview in Châtellerault (Vienna), its stronghold, the duo of comedians thanked the large crowd who came to attend this new part. “We love you too. Thank you for coming back in such numbers. It’s raining outside but in our hearts it’s sunny,” exclaimed Vincent Dubois, who plays Maria Bodin.
The Bodin’s are going into a tailspin will be a more political film than Bodin’s in Thailand. Still produced by Frédéric Forestier, it will talk in particular about the desertification of the countryside and the uneasiness of farmers.
When Maria Bodin, an authoritarian and surly farmer, and her son Christian, learn that an industrial cheese factory is about to set up in their small village, they are ready to do anything to defend their artisanal cheese factory.
-“We see people drooling”
From the Agricultural Show to the Moroccan desert, they will stop at nothing to derail this factory project: blackmail, fights, chases, once again, the Bodin’s will brave all dangers to save their values and their traditions.
“We see it every day (desertification),” Vincent Dubois explained on BFMTV. “We live here. We see businesses closing. We see that there is a shortage of doctors everywhere. We see people drooling. We have wanted to talk about it for a long time.”
“It’s funny, it’s a comedy, but it’s underpinned by this underlying truth about these problems that we encounter in rural areas,” added Jean-Christian Fraiscinet, who plays Christian Bodin, on our channel.
Released in 2021, Bodin’s in Thailand had met with great success, and attracted more than 1.6 million spectators in theaters. In this film, the Bodin’s went to Asia to treat Christian’s depression.
