Since his childhood, William has been involved in helping the homeless
The former Princess of Wales, Diana, was for a long time the godmother of the Centrepoint association, which helps the homeless, offering them temporary accommodation as well as a multitude of services, including support for reintegration. Diana wanted to involve her children in this association and to confront them with the reality of certain difficult lives. Prince William and Prince Harry have therefore accompanied their mother on several occasions on official visits to Centrepoint.

The Prince of Wales celebrates 20 years as patron of Centrepoint
This Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Prince of Wales, 42, paid a visit to the Centrepoint center in Ealing, the third largest borough in London in terms of attendance. The visit thus marked Prince William’s 20th anniversary as godfather of Centrepoint. This center has 17 beds for homeless youth aged 16 to 25. The center provides various services. He provides advice and provides an immediate solution to beneficiaries. In the long term, the center follows the journey of these young people and continues to help them, for example, by supporting them in their search for work.
During the visit, the Prince of Wales met former homeless people who have benefited from a roof and a bed in this center, and who, above all, have escaped thanks to the help of Centrepoint. Prince William played table football with Bethany, a young woman who was supported by Centrepoint when she became pregnant at 17 and was living in foster care. Seven years later, she is today a fulfilled woman who studied at university and now works in public administration. William then put on a pair of black boxing gloves and boxed with people supported by the association, who gave him some tips on how to improve his punches.
