Lovers of literature and music will find what they are looking for in Carpentras. The Inguimbertine Library-Museum is organizing a special evening, as part of the Nights of Reading, dedicated to the passionate love of Petrarch. As Jean-Marie Torrandell, director of the library, explains, “We created a musical reading evening with different guest artists. An evening a bit in the dark, with subdued lights, lights, atmospheres, very red lights, because we are a bit on the theme of love, indeed.» Spectators will be able to discover the Italian poet’s sonnets performed by actors, a lyric singer, young dancers, all interspersed with musical compositions.
