In the Montpellier district of Très d’Arènes, there is a place where music brings artists and audiences together in an intimate atmosphere: the jam. For 45 years, this emblematic concert hall and music school has brought jazz to life, while welcoming sounds from the four corners of the world.
To celebrate this anniversary, the jam offers a rich and vibrant program for the first quarter of 2025, with around thirty concerts and events designed to discover talents and delight the faithful.
The Jam: 45 years of music, stories and sharing
Created in 1979the Jam has established itself as a staple of the Montpellier music scene. The quarter begins with the sign of rising stars. On January 27, the trio Emile Londonien will take over the stage with jazz inspired by Berlin and London clubs. Between house, hip-hop and acoustic sounds, their concert is an immersion in the new European wave of electronic jazz.

In February, the duo Ablaye Cissoko & Cyrille Brotto returns to the Jam with a new album. Their unique blend of kora and accordion creates suspended music, like a poetic conversation between two cultures.
-Thursdays: a laboratory of discoveries
THE Discovery Thursdays of the Jam are an invitation to explore. Every week, a conference on the history of jazz or current music is followed by a concert by local artists. This is an opportunity to support Montpellier creation while enriching one’s musical knowledge.
