For the first time, the media library is organizing a drawing workshop in Honfleur (Calvados), with the illustrator Tom.
Self-taught et illustration enthusiast since his childhood, Tom launched into comics in 2012 with the publication of Damien and other titles like Hell & Parody 2 and 3 and Banzaï. “I mainly sell my comics at festivals,” explains Tom.
“I want to unwind the relationship with drawing”
Tom regularly organizes workshops d’initiationsuitable both for beginners that at most experiencedin Calvados.
Free and open to all levels
Free et accessible for all types of levels, this workshop is mainly aimed at adolescents.
-“Often, young people are hesitant when they start to draw. I always say that it is by making mistakes that we progress. Drawing is work. It’s built gradually.”
This is why the comic book author advises his students not to use the eraser, but rather to “ pencil »: “The eraser erases all the work done. You have to do and redo. This allows you to keep track of progress. »
Limited to 15 participants, the workshop is accessible upon registration online or directly on site.
