The “Country Colomiers” section of the Léo Lagrange Leisure Club in Colomiers happily celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024 and is off to a flying start to the new year: its 85 members valiantly getting back on their feet during a ball (open to all) in the Satgé room, followed by a much appreciated cake.
Its president Monique Saurat approaches 2025 with a broad smile: “Membership to the club is €110/year! Last year, we added a new couple dance class, “Partner”; at the opening of this season 2024-2025, we have created a “Novices” course. This brings us to 6 lessons of one and a half hours per week, led by Christine and Annie, 2 very experienced volunteers, and Nadine, one. external speaker.”
The section has particularly revealed itself to the general public thanks to its Colomiers Country Festival, traditionally scheduled for the Pentecost weekend at the Hall Comminges. Beyond the “fans” who came from all regions, an audience of curious people, and many families, also happily attended this event open to all, with free entry. Alas! It will probably not take place this year, due to a lack of a “large room” available at an affordable price.
But this dynamic section, which is delighted to welcome “new young people”, continues its frantic pace: Saturday February 22 at 8:30 p.m., at the Gascogne room, Nadine will host a Country and modern line ball, open to all. Entrance: €5, including a drink and pastries.
