Monheurt. Lous Pescadous joins the dance

For several years, “Lous Pescadous”, the Monheurquais club affiliated with Génération Mouvement chaired by Hervé Pujole, has been opening up to new activities, in order to keep its members in shape. In 2017, a “well-being gymnastics” section was created, offering fun indoor physical exercises every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (except during school holidays). Then, a “walking” section was added, offering hikes on Tuesdays all year round, in the morning during sunny days and in the afternoon when the weather begins to cool off. An “outings and travel” center began last December. A first outing dedicated to the Ronde des Crèches in the Gers took place on December 13.

And, since Thursday evening, to allow members to remain dynamic and also try to rejuvenate the troupe, a “line dance” section has been born. This new activity takes place in the Accueil de Loisirs room every Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This involves dancing to precise choreographies, online and without a partner, to varied rhythms, such as the madison, mambo, reggae, waltz, disco, and many others. Two to three dances will be rehearsed each evening, currently led by Louise or Émilia, who must train three other leaders among the dancers.

For this first session, around twenty people took their first steps. The annual fee to join the “Lous Pescadous” Club is €16. It allows access to all its activities. The association currently has around fifty members. It is open to everyone, regardless of age.
