Photographer, Aurélie Legrusley sets up her studio on rue de la Barre

Since May 2024, the inhabitants of La Ferté-Macé (Orne) have regretted the move of the Photo Flash studio to Domfront, leaving the town orphaned by photography studio.

From Monday January 20, 2025, Aurélie Legrusley will open its store at 20, rue de la Barre to, in turn, offer diverse and varied photo services!

Symbolic journey

Sensitive to art from a very young age, Aurélie Legrusley talks about her career: “stimulated by drawing, painting and even sculpture, I first followed a CAP cabinetmaker before practicing the profession for a while. Unfortunately the vagaries of life took me away from this branch leading to 7 years as a factory forklift driver.”

It was with the birth of her first child that Aurélie’s artistic soul was awakened, and she had the impulse to take her life back into her own hands to turn one of her passions into a job. . “The passion for photography goes back around ten years, although the attraction for art in general has always characterized me.

It all started with my first Nikon camera with which I took my first self-taught steps. This was followed by numerous training sessions with professional photographers before I went pro 3 years ago.

Trusted relationships

Beyond her know-how and creativity which give her aesthetically unique and identifiable work, Aurélie emphasizes the fact that the final photo is only a sample of the customer experience.

“What matters to me through the work of a photographer is above all the human relationship with the models. There is always a moment of exchange to feel the personality and sensitivity of each person. From there a relationship of trust is built, where everyone frees themselves and expresses themselves naturally in front of the lens, depending on their rather reserved or extravagant personality.”

Another striking trait on which the photographer focuses is learning to love and accept oneself: “my generation and the following ones, we were immersed in physical stereotypes, in beauty models and prejudices. I suffered a lot from it, like many… At each meeting my goal is to free the model from the vision she has of herself, and to highlight her so that she sees the beauty that others see in her.”

So before each shooting, in addition to the moment of exchange, Aurélie Legrusley collaborates with classic or artistic makeup artists to pamper her models and give them a memorable experience just for them.

Portraits alone or with family

Aurélie Legrusley’s services concern three main areas: female portraits and pregnancy, but also the family (portraits of families, couples, children, babies and older babies).

You will be able to obtain photos in classic settings as well as in tailor-made settings, full of life and full of color.

In summer, outdoor shootings are also offered and even recommended, at sunrise and sunset times.

“The colors at these times of the day are soft and incredibly beautiful. The light, for its part, brings an aesthetic and angelic touch more than ever, encircling the silhouette of the models.

Last element to note, Aurélie Legrusley’s studio which will open its doors on Monday January 20, 2025, will dedicate a boutique space to highlight numerous local artisans who make objects for young and old.
