The third multi-party subsidy agreement between the Théâtre Kléber-Méleau (TKM) and eleven public authorities was signed in December. It will provide the institution with sustainable funding over four years, until 2028. The mandate of director Omar Porras was renewed until 2030.
-This agreement was initialed by the TKM Foundation and the municipalities of Bussigny, Chavannes-près-Renens, Crissier, Écublens, Jouxtens-Mézery, Lausanne, Renens, Prilly, Saint-Sulpice and Villars-Sainte-Croix as well as by the State of Vaud, indicates the TKM Friday in a press release. It came into force on 1is January.
Eight francs per inhabitant
In December 2017, a first agreement was signed, with the aim of reaching the sum of 8 francs per inhabitant for all municipalities. It aimed to sustainably support the TKM, thus recognizing its place in the French-speaking theater landscape.
On the occasion of this signing, the mandate of Omar Porras, director of TKM, was renewed for five years. The actor and director succeeded Philippe Mentha in 2015, creator of the theater in 1979.
