Nordic circus for children
Geneva – From January 17, the Eaux-Vives establishment will host a contemporary circus show with a Finnish imaginary backdrop: “Mad In Finland”. A 100% female troupe which, between humor and love, aerial acrobatics and high-wire dancing, clowning and lumberjacking, offers a show for young and old. (ADG)
Bring your cuddly toys!
Geneva – The Threepwood Troupe improvisation company is organizing a small show at the Théâtre des Grottes on Saturday January 18 at 10 a.m.: “My cuddly toy, this hero”. The concept is simple and fun: spectators are invited to take a cuddly toy so that the actors can improvise a story with it. “Together, let’s invent wonderful worlds where your cuddly toy becomes the hero!”, promises the company. Laughter à la Madeleine

Black comedy with Yasmina Reza
Cologny – Since January 15 and until February 9, the Théâtre du Crève-Cœur has been offering a revival of “Le Dieu du carnage”, a play written by Yasmina Reza in 2006. A “comedy of appearances” and “a theater of pretense” which promises to be cynical and hard-hitting. In this play, two adult couples argue following an argument between their respective children. “Welcome home,” announces the theater. It promises! (ADG)

Return of a classic to the BFM
Geneva – The holidays are over, but the magic of “the nutcrackers” will allow us to rediscover the spirit of them. The famous magical ballet set to music by Tchaikovsky returns to Lausanne this Saturday, with its famous Christmas evening inspired by Hoffmann’s tale. This time it comes to life in a production by the United European Ballet, a troupe made up of 50 professional dancers from renowned dance schools around the world, under the artistic direction of Rolando Sarabia. Chêne-Bougeries – Two voices will combine with the melodies of a violin and a piano on Thursday evening in an “unusual” and “magical” concert at the Jean-Jacques Gautier community hall. Geneva – The OCL is the guest of the OSR. The people of Lausanne defend a very spiritual program, under the direction of Iranian leader Hossein Pishkar. Two works performed with bass-baritone Johan Reuter will dialogue: “The seven last words of our Savior on the cross” by Joseph Haydn and the “Kindertotenlieder” by Gustav Mahler. (MCH)

Mussorgsky’s Wolf Fanfare
Geneva – Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” come to life in a fascinating adaptation where music and visual Art intertwine.
