The town of Moissac (Tarn-et-Garonne) is preparing a cultural season for the first half of 2025, offering an eclectic and event-rich program. Presentation of some dates.

Intended to bring together all audiences, this new cultural season, between January and June 2025, highlights concerts, shows, exhibitions and original activities. The editorial staff draws up a (non-exhaustive) list of the events taking place.

National Capitol Orchestra

Bassoonist Sophie Dartigalongue invites you to discover all the finesse and richness of her instrument, of which she represents the finest performers: winner of the Munich ARD competition, she is now a soloist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The soloists of the National Capitol Orchestra will join her for this celebration of the bassoon, which will not omit its cousin with a more serious tone: the contrabassoon.

The Baker’s Wife by Marcel Pagnol

In homage to Marcel Pagnol (1895-1974), on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of his birth. In a village in Haute Provence, a settled baker discovers one morning that his young wife has left with a shepherd. He decides to go on a bread strike until his wife returns. The village is mobilizing to be able to find its baker.

Heritage events on Saturday

Every first Saturday of the month, these free meetings allow you to better understand the heritage surrounding the city through the discovery of a site, a neighborhood, with the intervention of a professional. It is also an opportunity to talk about projects that promote the rich heritage of Moissac.

List of visits: conference on the pilgrimage to Compostela (Saturday February 1 at the cultural center), from the port to the canal bridge (Saturday April 5 from the captaincy), from the Uvarium to Montebello in history and old photos (Saturday 3 May at Uvarium), Beaucaire Island and riverside vegetation with the association Campagnes vivants 82 (Saturday June 7 at the entrance to the municipal campsite Le Moulin Bidounet).

Kotaro Fukuma en concert

Albéniz’s Iberia suite is his best-known work, praised in its time by Claude Debussy. Olivier Messiaen considers that it “perhaps represents the masterpiece of piano writing”. First Prize at the age of 20 in the Cleveland International Competition, Kotaro Fukuma was the youngest pianist to record this work at the age of 25. A signing sale of his album will take place at the end of the concert.
