Friday January 17, at 6:30 p.m., at the media library, readings aloud will be offered with Astrid Cathala and Gil-Angelo Gazzoli.
Astrid Cathala is an actress, singer, director and editor. She is the artistic and literary director of L’Œil du Souffleur Editions et Cie, a place of research, transmission, creation, a publishing house and a residency space for authors and artists. Appointed associated artist at Estive, national scene of Foix and Ariège, she collaborates with the author Violaine Bérot for whom she designed the performance “Les Voix de Violaine” (sound piece), in partnership with Occitanie Livre et Reading. She is preparing an album of songs written by her and composed by Gil-Angelo Gazzoli, musician and painter.
Gil-Angelo Gazzoli’s artistic training began in a graphic arts school in Paris, followed by a stay in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. His first works consisted of sculptures, assemblages and abstract creations. He collaborated on scenography with a contemporary dance troupe at the same time. His creative universe, shaped by the surrealism of H. Bellmer, P. Molinier and M. Ernst, took shape during this period of artistic experiences. The universe he describes comes to life thanks to G. Bataille, A. Artaud and Sade.
