TF1 is broadcasting episodes 3 and 4 of the new series this Monday, January 13 from 9:10 p.m. Erica. They correspond to a new investigation adapted from the novel by Camilla Läckberg, The preacher. They had barely met when the elegant and insightful Erica Faure, played by Julie de Bona – very attached to her audience -, and the taciturn Patrick Saab – played by Grégory Fitoussi, recently seen in Cat’s Eyes – see their lives turned upside down by a most unusual love story. In these episodes marked by the presence of Benjamin Douba , the pair of investigators will have to shed light on the murder of a young woman found branded with a hot iron. Grégory Fitoussi confided in Tele-Leisure on his role and the filming of the series.

Erica : “With Julie De Bona, we approach the scenes differently“, says Grégory Fitoussi

Télé-Loisirs: What were the challenges of this project?
Grégory Fitoussi
: The first was to succeed in finding the balance between making these murder stories credible and keeping the light tone of a “feel good” series. The other was to build the relationship between Erica and Patrick because everything goes very quickly between them since after each evening; there is an ellipse of several months. Which means that we find them in a different situation.

Did you already know Julie de Bona?
Yes, for a long time, but we had never met on set. However, for ten years, we had the same agent who tried to get us to work together. She was convinced that it would work between us, but it didn’t happen. Turns out she was right: it works pretty well. With Julie, we approach the scenes differently but it’s constructive and very jubilant.

Erica : ” I was looking to see if there were any waves so I could do a little session“, Grégory Fitoussi confides about the filming

How did this shoot go in the Landes?
Alright. It was very windy, that’s why I sometimes wear a cap, to keep my hair out of my eyes. [Il rit.] I love this region. I surf a lot and, from time to time at the end of the day, I would see if there were waves so I could go for a little session. [Il rit.]

Would you be up for a season 2?
We have to see if the series appeals but, yes, I would like it. I would like us to be a little more corrosive, daring. In any case, there is enough material in Camilla Läckberg’s novels for a season 2.
