four successful “popular comedies” at the exhibition center

Between January and April 2025, the exhibition center of Lisieux (Calvados) will welcome four humorous plays : The Gang of Bitches (January 30 at 8 p.m.), Parents come from Mars, children come from McDonald’s (March 1 at 6 p.m.), It’s decided, I’m becoming a bitch! (March 1 at 8:30 p.m.) and The art of couples (April 26 at 8:30 p.m.).

“Quality entertainment”

These four comedies are produced by the company Cœur de Scène, founded in 2011 in Paris: “We specialize in comedy and humor,” explains Thomas Martin, producer.

“We produce everywhere in France, and even abroad, since this year, our shows are in six different countries. We offer quality professional entertainment, popular comedies, at affordable prices. We go everywhere: there are no small or big towns. »

On October 6, Cœur de Scène Productions came to the expo for the first time, with the play Mars and Venus : “There were almost 400 people. »

Two “bitches” on stage

At the end of January, the piece The Gang of Bitches by Élise Ponti should be sold out: there are only a handful of tickets left on sale.

“It’s a hilarious comedy about two women who each have their faults, and who are completely opposite,” says Thomas Martin. Ultimately, they will discover that they complement each other very well in order to be happy in life, and see that being annoying can have some advantages (smile). Obviously, it’s in a humorous tone. People laugh a lot with this show, which is a real success throughout France. Zeniths are even planned for the end of 2025.”

“A huge success of the theater”

On March 1, two shows are scheduled: “We said to ourselves that everyone in Lisieux had to laugh to get out of winter! », exclaims the producer.

At the end of the afternoon, “a family comedy”, Parents come from Mars, children come from McDonald’s : “What’s magnificent is that it allows people to come and laugh together with several generations. We often have parents with their children, grandparents…”

Then, in the evening, it’s time for the play It’s decided, I’m becoming a bitchby Élise Ponti:

“This piece has filled all the biggest rooms. It’s a comedy to watch as a couple or with friends. It has been touring since 2020, and it is one of the huge successes of popular theater and comedy in France. It attracts between 100,000 and 150,000 spectators per year. On a theater scale, it’s huge. »

At the end of April, spectators will be able to discover The art of coupleswhose subtitle is A sparkling and sexy comedy that boosts your libido. “It’s in the form of a humorous conference, given by two artists (Alex Barbe and Eve Paradis, editor’s note) who are a couple in the city as well as on stage,” explains Thomas Martin. It’s interactive, and people quickly find themselves in all the situations they describe and enjoy. »

How did the partnership between the production company and the exhibition center come about?

“We had already worked at the Lisieux theater, which is magnificent, 2 or 3 years ago. We would have liked to continue, but our comedies don’t necessarily have room in their programming. As we wanted to continue to be present in the Pays d’Auge, and particularly in Lisieux, we had to find another location. »

This place is the exhibition center, which won over the professional: “The room is great, there is a capacity of 500 people, so it can entertain quite a few people. » From the start of the next school year, Cœur de Scène wishes to offer new shows in Lisieux: “We would like to have three or four dates next season to continue this partnership. »
