Pink Granite Coast. These CM2 and middle school students collected more than €8,000 against leukemia

The middle school students from Paul-Le Flem, joined by the CM2 students from neighboring schools in Pleumeur-Bodou, Trégastel and Trébeurdenhave once again been able to combine sport and solidarity by recently presenting a check for €8,087 to those responsible for the Céline and Stéphane association, Leukémie Espoir.

A ceremony which took place within the recently renovated Pleumeur-Bodou sports complex, in the presence of the Breton singer and musician Dan Ar Braz, sponsor of the associationMonique Guéguen, the president, and representatives of several relays, including Philippe Cadro who presides over the destiny of the recently created Trégorre relay, Mean Ruz Trégor.

« A sum of €8,087, which at the end of this 14th edition of the event, allows us to mention with satisfaction the sum collected of €100,000″, notes the principal of the Pleumeur establishment, Jérôme Gasnier, with Caroline Le Bas, professor of EPS and true conductor of this sporting and solidarity event.

Students and sponsors

In the records section, the prize for the amount collected from its sponsors was awarded to Maxime Le Guyader, with a sum of €806.

All the students were warmly thanked and congratulated by those in charge of the Leukémie Espoir association.

“In addition to one-off aid allocated to families of patients, this amount collected will contribute to the strengthening of sterile equipment and to research through scholarships, aimed at improving the effectiveness of treatments,” underlined Monique Guéguen, president of the Céline and Stéphane association, Leukemia Espoir-29.
