From January 21 to 26, the new Pari residence will make people happy with “Solo in a Russian mood for an emotionally elastic actress” by the Toulouse company Anne my sister Anne.
Founded in 2013, this Toulouse company likes to tell stories. Attached to the story, she tells it in her own way.
“This show revolves around Anna,” explains Anne Bourgès, performer, director and author of this new creation. “Like a Chekhov character, she is imperfect, but she is not ashamed of it. On the contrary, she is proud to share who she is with the world. In front of the audience, she recounts her journey to the theater, her memories childhood, all with a lot of self-deprecation. Throughout his story, a few words from Chekhov appear in the show, but they do not take up all the space.”
Because yes, “Solo in Russian mood for emotionally elastic actress” is not an adaptation or a work with reference to the Russian author. “In my show, as in Marion Bouvarel’s exhibition (currently free entry at Le Pari), Chekhov takes the place of godfather in our creations,” adds the artist. “Do not see the show or the exhibition as works introducing the reader to the reading of the writer’s texts, but as creations allowing us to see the spirit of his work differently. In Solo in a Russian mood for an emotionally elastic actress, for example, it’s about sharing the moment with the public.”
Note that the curious will be able to see the first images during the public rehearsal on January 18 at 2 p.m.
