From February 7 to March 30, discover the exhibition “Organic Architecture of Nature: ‘the tiny moment of indecision’”by multidisciplinary visual artist from the Laurentians, Lyne Pinard, presented at the Alphonse-Desjardins room.
Through her works, Lyne Pinard explores the intimate relationship between humans and nature, while revealing the fragility and beauty of a world to be respected for collective survival. Drawing inspiration from his walks in the forest, his gathering of materials and photographs, as well as his readings, the artist connects them in a precise geometry based on reflections on oneself and on our humanity, while working with the concepts what are beliefs and symbols.
Here is what Mr. Gilles Matte, curator of the exhibition, writes about the artist and his work: “Where does the bark begin, where does the stone end? The butterfly lends its name to the leaf that escapes from the tree. Greener leaves, carried by their shadow, write the ideograms of the landscape. Between the piece of dead wood and the bone to come, where does what ends begin? Lyne Pinard paints, tightrope walking on the perpetual moment when the architectures of habit that are beliefs and perceptions shift.
He adds: “It will be appropriate to approach such works beyond the easy landscape of déjà vu. See, by taking the time, that from the gardener’s nail at the tip of the finger which inventories the soil, to the few beards at the end of the brush which balance the canvas towards the light, there is only one gesture the same, eternal and seasonal, for Lyne Pinard, customary and without division. Always striving towards beauty and sustainability, with this awareness of life which loves us and ignores us.”

About the artist
At a very young age, Lyne Pinard took on a dual practice in textile arts and large format painting. A graduate in visual arts, she then completed studies in visual arts at UQAM. Affiliated with various artist centers, notably Haut 3e Impérial in Granby and the Regroupement d’artistes de l’Université Bishop, she has had several exhibitions there.
Established for 27 years in her workshop and gardens in the Laurentians, she enriches her corpus of creations bringing together oil painting, installation and sculpture, where her research in science, philosophy, spirituality and herbalism is reflected. For more than 40 years, many of his works have been part of private collections.
This exhibition is made possible thanks to the cultural development agreement concluded between the City of Mont-Tremblant and the Ministry of Culture and Communications of Quebec.
