The Tattoo Conv is back… and this year, it’s back in full swing, with nearly 250 tattoo artists! The event will take place at the Diagora de Labège, near Toulouse, Saturday January 11 and Sunday January 12, 2025.

This tattoo show, which calls itself “the largest tattoo convention in the South-West” will welcome artists of all kinds from the four corners of the world, as well as entertainment and food trucks.

Up to 250 tattoo artists from all walks of life

“This year there will be between 200 and 250 tattoo artists at the convention. They are French, Swiss, German, Ukrainian, Russian, Portuguese…” announces Marc, tattoo artist and organizer of the event, before specifying:

“The idea is to mix all the tattoo styles. Realism, Polynesian, tribal, floral, new school… there really will be everything. Also new techniques and trendsand more young tattoo artists than in previous years. »

“Very rock and gothic” merchandising

A merchandising area will also be offered with around twenty stands: t-shirts, belt buckles, costume jewelry, mugs, bags, jackets, etc.

“Most of the merchants enter the world of tattooing, which is quite rock and gothic,” specifies the organizer.

Animations, food-truck et tricopigmentation

In addition to the entertainment, food trucks will be present and will offer burgers, barbecue, waffles or even the usual American caravan and its trays of cheese.

Another new feature, Deborah Blanchard, a tricopigmentation professional based in Montlaur, near Toulouse, will set up a stand at the show. She tattoos the scalp to hide hair loss .

Concerts and shows

Several concerts are planned throughout the weekend, with Robert Openightmare (heavy punk rock) on Saturday, January 11, at 3 p.m.; Hellectric Spider Crew (rock’n’roll) Saturday at 7 p.m.; and Big T & The Nuts on Sunday at 3 p.m. (punk rock), but also “a group of young rappers,” announces Marc.

As for Saturday and Sunday, at 4 p.m., a tribal fusion dance showwill be presented by the company Trium Parcae.

Tattoo competition

Without forgetting the tattoo competitions, which will not be missed Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m..

Several categories of tattoos created on site will be judged: ornamental, with realism, tribal and Polynesian; small pieces in color or black and gray; large pieces in color or black and gray; and the best pieces of the day.

A new adventure

If the 16th Toulouse tattoo show, in 2024, had turned into a fiasco and had stopped earlier than expected due to too low temperatures in the room, this year, the event is returning to its historic venue, the Diagora of Labège.

The organizer, who explained himself following the 2024 convention, specifies: “people seem rather up for this year, and after the failure of the last edition, this year, I played my cards on table. I refunded everyone and gave a free booth to the tattoo artists who came to MIN. »
