First favorable test run for projections on the Saint-Ursanne bridge

“My restaurateur colleagues and I are quite happy, because this event has brought quite a few local tourists, from the Valley and the Franches-Montagnes,” notes Marie- Boegli, owner of the Restaurant du Jura.
Good attendance
In this context, she organized theme evenings, the last of which will be offered this evening, which worked rather well. Marie-France Boegli is already looking forward to participating in the next edition of “Saint-Ursanne en Lumière”, but would like the screenings to end a little later than 7:30 p.m.
“The projection on the bridge was popular and had a huge impact in the media and social networks.”
“I pass there regularly and have observed a constant coming and going, especially during the Christmas market. Attendance is good,” continues Mayor Jean-Paul Lachat, who recalls that the objective of this operation was to bring people to Saint-Ursanne and above all to encourage them to stay and consume in local businesses during the off-peak period. for tourism.
A real demand
“We do not have attendance figures since it is a free event, but almost every evening there were several dozen people to see the projection on the bridge which was popular and had a huge impact in the media and social networks,” rejoices Audrey Fasnacht, head of TalentisLAB at Jura Tourisme who participated in the development of this project, part of the 2030 tourism strategy of the municipality of Clos du .
This new offer is completed by a video projected under the door and by a tour of around twenty lanterns created by a glass blower. “The lanterns were less successful,” says Audrey Fasnacht, recognizing that it will be necessary to refine the information about them.
Even if the final assessment has not yet been drawn up, the head of TalentisLAB, determined to set up a second edition next winter, observes that until now there were few activities offered in the region in end of the year.
“Both the success of the Santa Claus House in Mormont and that of Saint-Ursanne in lights demonstrate that there is real demand during this holiday season,” she concludes.
