The 2025 edition of the Play Azur Festival, in partnership with BFM Côte d’Azur

On February 1 and 2, 2025, the Play Azur Festival returns to the Palais des Expositions in for an 8th edition. Nearly 24,000 visitors are expected for an immersive weekend focused on geek culture, pop culture and science. This year, for its programming, Play Azur is highlighting two themes: Pokémon and the world of wizards, inspired by the world of Harry Potter.

Pokémon and the Wizarding Universe: in the spotlight

This year, the Play Azur Festival is honoring two cult universes: Pokémon and the wizarding universe, directly inspired by the fantastical imagination of Harry Potter.
Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of the famous Nintendo franchise through various activities, such as activities, Poké Ball creation workshops, card tournaments, concerts, and exclusive meetings.

Among the exceptional guests, we will find: Jean-Marc Anthony Kabeya, interpreter of the French theme of Pokémon, Julien Bardakoff, official creator of the French names of Pokémon. At the same time, a whole new zone is entering: the Wizards Festival. Harry Potter fans will be able to meet Kelyan Blanc, French voice of the young wizard.

Between the Sorting Hat ceremony, a meeting with the impressive giant spider Aragog and his little ones, wanderings of a giant Troll accompanied by his wizard, magic potions workshops, and many other surprises, immersion in this universe magic is guaranteed for visitors.

A varied program and numerous guests

The Play Azur Festival also offers a unique opportunity to meet personalities from the fields of dubbing, cinema, manga, comics, or even social networks like TikTok and YouTube.
This 8th edition welcomes more than 80 guests, including: Stéphane Excoffier, French voice of Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece, Talents from the Côte d’Azur, such as Gatsu Sensei, specialist in manga philosophy, Vercin and Lou, otaku couple, and Luckson Mouton aka Fils de la Chance, creator of humorous videos from .

To mark this new edition, the Festival is unveiling a new poster created by the talented French mangaka Enaibi, who for the second year in a row is the official visual of the event. This is a celebration of the cult worlds of pop culture that can be found at PAF 2025.
