The Municipal Health Community (CMS) of invites you to discover a unique solidarity exhibition.

The Municipal Health Community (CMS) of Toulouse, invites us at the beginning of the year, to a “Journey in three dimensions”, with its new exhibition/sale for the benefit of the association “The Hope of Princess Manon” to overcome childhood leukemia. Four artists are joining forces with this great cause. Photographer Joël Arpaillange with “The door to the journey of no return”, a series of 40 photos taken between 1978 and 1986 in Gorée off the coast of Dakar. They reflect the atmosphere that then reigned on this small island, a former center of the Atlantic slave trade, which had just been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. The sculptors Mylène Marty and Béatrice Fernando take us on a “journey to the heart of matter”.

Béatrice Fernando with her slender sculptures in a raw and minimalist style, made in a mysterious mixture of which she keeps the secret, and Mylène Marty with her feminine silhouettes and postures in raku. “Philosophical journey” finally, through the works of the amateur sculptor, Thierry Ichard. Each of the artists will donate 30% of sales to the association “The Hope of Princess Manon”, created by those close to Manon, who died at the age of 15 from a rare form of leukemia, affecting children and adolescents.

Thanks to donations from individuals or companies, the association supports research and mobilizes the public around donations of life (blood, plasma, bone marrow, etc.). It also provides moral and human help to hospitalized children by financing the purchase of books, toys, video games and by accompanying young patients during treatment in isolation rooms. Since 2021, it has been deploying “Buddy”, a small tele-presence robot which allows the child to stay in contact with all members of their family, or to participate in a class.

“Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the Purpan hospital now has a fleet of 4 robots,” says Stéphane Soumillon, representing the association.

Exhibition on view until January 31 at the CMS, 2 Rue Malbec (place de la Daurade) in Toulouse
