Throughout the day, a TF1 film crew followed Charles Doré’s every move, under the watchful eye of his parents. In front of him: 500 admirers were gathered in the Casino room, hanging on his lips. Some of them were present from 9:30 a.m., in the rain and the cold, to welcome their favorite candidate. “The Bretons are not afraid of the rain, that’s not going to stop us from coming to show our support,” shares a mother who came with her daughter. A group of young twenty-somethings also came from Guingamp to support their star: “We drove an hour to get here! We’ve been up since 7 a.m. »

Many Bretons came to support the young semi-finalist, originally from Pléneuf-Val-André, but it is above all his talent which is praised: “Beyond the fact that he is Breton, I think it is he who has the greatest room for improvement due to his young age. In addition, he knows how to go up in notes, it’s rare for a man,” comments Sébastien De Rangot, also a singer. “It’s not just chauvinism, it deserves,” adds a close friend of the family, Marie Marsaudon. “I think he can make the difference because he is developing well. He is already capable of a lot for an 18-year-old,” she finishes.

A special moment with Charles
From 11 a.m., fans gathered in the Casino room for a very special session with their idol, until 12:30 p.m. The room was packed. Crowded together and standing, fans waited with their signs and slogans while chanting: “Vote Charles! » Under shouts of encouragement, the star of the day made his entrance through the crowd to the Casino stage. Sitting on the edge of the stage, microphone in hand, Charles answered, very comfortably, the questions of his admirers. The young candidate returned to the stress of the beginnings, his life at the castle and his dream of singing with Florent Pagny. Shortly after, Charles sang “SOS of a landowner in distress” by Daniel Balavoine. The young singer ended with a second Santa song : « Start me again.” A song that got the room moving, enthusiastic.
