In one of its historical forays, the novel evokes the day of March 2, 1871, when an explosion ripped open the Morges castle, which housed an arsenal: 24 dead and a fireworks display that lasted several days. Nothing like that on this sunny Sunday. A stone’s throw from the Nautical Club, the same castle seems unshakeable. And the lake sparkles peacefully, delighted to host the literary event Le livre sur les quais. The writer Bernard Comment arrived there with his new novel under his arm: “La ferme du paradis”. Paris, Nice, Vence, Marseille, Audincourt… it’s a book where you travel a lot on the roads of France, which nevertheless end up leading to Switzerland. A Jurassien from Paris (publisher at Seuil where he directs the Fiction & Cie collection), the author returns through the novel to Ajoie, where he was born.
