Judicial information for “violence resulting in death without the intention of causing it” was opened on Friday January 3 against the actor Dimitri Boetto, suspected of having fatally struck his ex-brother-in-law on Wednesday January 1 in Apt (Vaucluse), the Avignon prosecutor’s office told AFP.
The TV film actor, born in 1973, was arrested the same day on a train at Lyon Saint-Exupéry station bound for the Paris region, “without it being possible to say that he was on the run“, according to the same source.
“There was violence committed and a person was found on the public highway“, which “died shortly after“, detailed the same source. The victim would be the ex-brother-in-law of Dimitri Boetto, according to France Bleu radio.
The actor and the victim “have a link, now this is precisely what the investigation is trying to determine, to find out what it is, is it a family dispute? Is it something else?“, noted the Avignon prosecutor’s office.
According to France Bleu, a violent fight broke out on January 1 at lunchtime in front of a café in downtown Apt, where the actor is from. The victim presented “numerous marks of blows” and succumbed to her injuries during the day after being transported to hospital.
