Sunday January 5 at 2 p.m., the Le Sporting de Podensac village hall will host a festive event at the initiative of the municipal social action center (CCAS): an afternoon king cake and show that promises laughter and good humor. More than 130 people have registered to share this friendly moment.
The stage will be occupied by Les Vils Navets, a duo of humorous singers well known to the public, especially seniors. Originally from Virelade and Villenave-de-Rions, the duo plays in Podensac with a particular affection for this familiar land. They will perform their new show, “What luck-we-are!” », a tasty mix of sketches and parodies on current events and the failings of society.
This all-audience show, directed by Christo Laroque, combines incisive texts, original songs and parodies of well-known melodies.
Burlesque delirium
For almost three decades, Les Vils Navets has had a string of successes with more than 200 performances across France. Their “classy” and burlesque humor, tinged with a nice dose of derision, promises a unique experience, where words for laughter cure the ills of everyday life. With an offbeat theatrical and musical performance, Doctor Navet and Mister Vil, his “patient”, will captivate their audience with a burlesque and spectacular delirium. They aim correctly and never miss the right word, to the delight of fans of life-saving humor on social subjects on the front page of the media.
-Between the tasting of the traditional galette des rois and a show that shakes things up with finesse and brilliance, this afternoon is an ideal opportunity for the town’s seniors to start the year off right.
Free show for those aged 65 and over by reservation only. Duration: one hour and a half. Information from the CCAS of Podensac on 05 56 27 02 83.
