Antoine Lhérété gives news of J’aime le and Kamehameha

After his third place obtained this summer in the Prix de Normandie (Gr. I under saddle), I Like finished fourth, on December 15, in the Prix Bilibili (Gr. I), still in the same specialty. His trainer, Antoine Lhérété, looks back on this performance: “He behaved very well, because he was “forced” twice during the course. His jockey, Alexandre Abrivard, said it cost him the fight for victory. What is planned is to go directly to the “Cornulier”, given that he has nothing harnessed and I do not want to use him under the front saddle. He’ll cool down a bit, then prepare that. He recovered well. He is hardened at this level. We can be fourth-fifth, like many others.”

Concerning Kamehamehadouble group winner, his mentor declares: “Last time, he was nose to the wind much too early and didn’t really like the blinders. Previously, he ran really well in a good field. He will line up on January 1st over 2,100 meters, associated with Björn Goop (editor’s note, Dominik Cordeau Prize). It will depend on his autostart number, but he is good at work. As he has been on the sidelines for a long time, it is complicated to return directly to the highest level. It’s going to take a little time, but if it continues like this, it’ll be fine.
