5 movies to go to the cinema with the kids

School is over and summer routines leave more time to enjoy with family. During the summer, cinemas offer a wide variety of movies perfect to watch with the little ones, from fantasy-filled adventures to exciting stories that capture the imagination of all ages.

Below are some of the most notable films on the billboard, ideal to share with the kids and make the most of the benefits of Club LA NACION.

Mufasa

“Mufasa” uses digital animation of the highest quality.

The film chronicles the origins of Mufasa, Simba's father, from his childhood marked by adversity to his rise as a leader. Barry Jenkins directs this prequel with a dazzling visual style, highlighting African landscapes recreated with high-quality digital animation.

The plot focuses on the relationship between Mufasa and Taka, the future Scar, as well as the connection with characters such as Sarabi, Rafiki, Timon and Pumbaa. Moana 2

Simea, Moana's younger sister, is also part of this second installment.

Three years after her first big adventure, Moana returns to the island of Motunui, where her father, Chief Tui, makes her a master navigator. With this title, the protagonist takes on a new mission: find other civilizations, break the curse of the storm god Nalo and locate the sunken island of Motufetu, key to the ancestral connection with the ocean. Moana is not alone in this story that combines exploration, songs and challenges on a journey across the ocean, she is accompanied by her inseparable chicken Heihei and the pig Pua. Maui, the demigod with mobile tattoos, also returns, this time in the role of mentor. The adventure grows with the addition of Simea, Moana's younger sister, who adds tenderness and new dynamics to the group.

Wicked

“Wicked” tells the story of Elphaba before she became the Wicked Witch of the West.

Set in the magical world of Oz before Dorothy's arrival, Wicked tells the story of Elphaba, a young woman with green skin and strong ideals, and her complex relationship with Glinda, the good witch played by Ariana Grande. The film, based on the hit Broadway musical, explores the origins of the Wicked Witch of the West, and touches on themes such as friendship, justice and ambition. The first part of this film adaptation covers the initial events of the musical, ending with the iconic number “Defying Gravity.” With a duration of 2 hours and 40 minutes, it dazzles with a visual and musical spectacle and delves into the conflicts and decisions that shape its main characters. This fascinating world full of magic and secrets will be fully revealed in the second part, scheduled for November 2025.

wild robot

It is rumored that “Wild Robot” could earn an Oscar nomination in 2025.

On an island uninhabited by humans and dominated by nature, a robot named Rozzum 7134, designed to fulfill human tasks, is forced to adapt to a wild environment after an accident. Surrounded by exotic wildlife, Roz forms unexpected bonds with animals like the cunning fox Fink and the goose Brightbill, as he learns to survive and communicate in this new world.

Based on the illustrated novel by Peter Brown, the film explores themes such as coexistence, mutual learning and the relationship between technology and nature. Through Roz's experience and the dynamics of the ecosystem, the story offers a journey of discovery, humor and emotion that reveals both the wild world and the possibilities of an uncertain future for humanity.

Kraven: the hunter

Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Sergei Kravinoff, part of the Marvel and Spider-Man universe.

Set in the universe of Marvel characters related to Spider-Man, the film follows the origins of Sergei Kravinoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Sergei, driven by a turbulent bond with his father Nikolai – played by Russell Crowe – embarks on a path of revenge that will lead him to become one of the most feared hunters.

The plot explores how a potion mixed with lion's blood grants Sergei superhuman abilities, transforming him physically and mentally as he faces his destiny in a world full of threats and opportunities. And while it doesn't include explicit references to Spider-Man, the film lays the groundwork for possible future connections within the Spider-Verse, enriching the Marvel cinematic universe with a focus on villains.
