The year 2024 was rich in events in the town. Between projects and local events, numerous developments have marked the daily lives of residents. A look back at the highlights of the year.
Projects taking shape
The year was marked by the progress of several infrastructure projects. Among the most significant, we can cite the rehabilitation of the presbytery, an ambitious project started at the end of September which will respond to medical desertification by welcoming two health professionals. Delivery of the building is scheduled for the end of 2025. This year was also marked by the delivery of the new dojo and the CAR Foot locker room which were inaugurated on Saturday September 28 in the presence of the Olympic champion, Axel Clerget. In addition to these projects, 2024 was also an opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the media library where numerous activities for young and old were organized on Friday November 8 and Saturday November 9. With nearly 180 visitors, these two anniversary days proved to be a real success in terms of participant satisfaction. A highlight of this year, an emotional ceremony took place at the Rolampont rescue center to mark the baptism of the building. Since Saturday April 13, the barracks have been named after Chief Warrant Officer Eric Chesnel, former head of the center who died in 2022. This ceremony was an opportunity to highlight his commitment to serving others and his exemplary nature. Another inauguration, that of the Langres flying club runway in the name of Charles Flamand, a man of conviction, French resistance fighter, great patriot and figure of the French air force. This event took place on May 8 in the presence of his wife, Martine Flamand.
Associations: drivers of the festivities
The numerous associations have been able to energize the life of the town throughout the year. The Rolamfolie's organized their Olympic Games-themed carnival on Saturday March 9. CAR football, the Optimists and the FCPE organized several lotteries at the Maison du temps libre. Also note the organization of a belote competition by CAR football on Friday November 15, an event which had not taken place for at least 20 years. With around twenty exhibitors, the traditional CAR karate garage sale took place on Sunday July 7. The following weekend, the village associations (CAR football, CAR karate, Judo taïso RC52, friendly firefighters, F2R, the Optimists and the Voice of our territories) participated in the July 14 festivities. Offering access to culture and sport, the Foyer rural de Rolampont (F2R) organized various activities throughout the year (Bubble football, Trollball, “Story tellers” show, visit to the Colmar market, Vide your room, etc.). For the first time, F2R also scheduled a “Let’s clean up nature” operation on Sunday October 27, where 35 people collected nearly 750 liters of waste. Also a first for the fire brigade, the organization of the Tufière trail proved to be a success with more than 500 registrations, Sunday 1is september.
To end this year, the associations Rol'activ and un arc-en-ciel dans les brushes (association of Lannes, associated municipality of Rolampont) were present to present their creations to the public.
