Alec Baldwin plans to set the record straight about the Rust filming incident

Alec Baldwin was this week’s guest on the podcast Fail Better by David Duchovny to discuss the affair of the filming of Rust. In the discussion, the American actor said that “the truth about what really happened has never been revealed” regarding the shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. “There is still much to discover” on the events that occurred on October 21, 2021 on the set of the western.

A waking nightmare

Alec Baldwin also emphasizes that the affair has deeply tarnished his career, notably involving part of the media which, according to him, would have “amplify every story that could cause harm” in his image. His detractors were determined to see him incarcerated and banned from Hollywood, he said. But his legal fate was quite different following a twist last summer.
