The event Jump Festa 2025 will take place on December 21 and 22 in Japan, and Toyotaro, the author of Dragon Ball Super, will be present at the event. It was enough to raise rumors about the announcement of a return of the Dragon Ball Super manga, on hiatus since March.
And in fact, a new “leak” has come to disturb the peace of Dragon Ball fans in recent hours on social networks. Only, ce leak est fakeand we quickly explain why. In fact, this article does not contain any spoilers, since there are absolutely no announcements to eat.
So, fake or not fake?
For several years, the trend among Dragon Ball rights holders has been to bring back old Dragon Ball enemies in order to give them a new form, or to canoniserthat is to say include them in the official story of the manga by Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro.
This trend has not escaped the attention of a little joker, who has gifted us with a beautiful teaser page of an alleged new arc of the Dragon Ball Super mangatitled arc du “Slayer of Gods”. On this page – which is presumably fake – Toyotaro’s trait is imitated to perfection. We see a red hand grabbing a red sword, certainly referring to an adaptation of Janemba in Dragon Ball Super, as Broly had in 2018.
However, this page of the so-called “Godslayer” arc presents some big errors that we would not dare attribute to Shueisha. Indeed, if you read the furigana (the very small characters above the large Japanese characters), there are two errors:
- La première sur Godslayer (kamigoroshislayer of gods) : The kanji 殺 is transcribed ごろし, when it should just be transcribed ごろ.
- The second on 編 (henarc)maladroitement transcrit, au lieu de hen.
Beyond that, we can also note the poorly cut Jump Festa 2025 logo (there should be no white inside, even with the external outline). In short, don’t pay attention to this illustration which will at least have had the merit of getting people talking.
As a reminder, Toyotaro and Toriyama’s manga went on hiatus with chapter 103 last March, coinciding with the end of the Super Hero arc, and the disappearance of Akira Toriyama.
