EVENING FACT For the fourth time, geek pop-culture madness takes over the Alès Agglomération exhibition center

Ceven’Geel Week took place this Saturday and Sunday, December 14 and 15, with the aim of increasingly satisfying pop-culture fans but also to introduce other people to this environment.

Covering 4,000 square meters, the paradise of video games, the manga universe and pop culture took over this weekend at the Méjannes-les-Alès exhibition center. What’s better than a good game of video games among all the consoles from the first to the sixth generation? For dance lovers, choreographies were offered on the main stage. The best cosplays were also chosen, and some had pulled out all the stops.

More than fifty exhibitors traveled, sometimes from all over , to bring the Alès region to life around cosplay and geek culture. So among many others, you could find a stand to make your own Pokéball, the discovery of the robotics world, sales of derivative products of all kinds of films, series, video games or manga, without forgetting the delicious dishes offered to visitors .

In the desire to renew itself every year, several distinguished guests came to the show to meet their fans and sign a few autographs. To bring back many memories to fans of the Mysteries of Love, the actor and host Patrick Puydebat accompanied by the young Manon Schraen also marked the show with their presence.

This time, young and old alike found what they were looking for with the presence of YouTubers “LeBouseuh” and “Dobby”, with several million subscribers between them. “We came to enjoy the sun and see our southern subscribers of all generations. They wished me a good recovery after my DTR Fight fight”explains LeBouseuh, “and good luck for Dobby’s baldness”he adds jokingly. The two friends, very fashionable among young people, particularly appreciated the conviviality and good organization: “Here we have the impression that people all know each other!”they say.

Fully satisfied like last year, Krim, originally from Alès, has been the organizer since the first edition in 2021. Previously on the “Japanîmes” event, he took a few years to think about a new project, which will is materialized for the fourth edition: “There was demand and a need, there is a geek community in the area”he explains. A project that takes him a year to organize each time: “We already have half of the stands reserved for 2025, and we can announce an exclusive to you, there will be an American actor from a Netflix series”reveals Krim.
