On the occasion of International Migrants Day, celebrated on December 18, Progettomondo Maroc and its partners are organizing a performance of the play “Rêve”.
This event will be held on Sunday December 15, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at the Dabatek Cultural Space in Tangier. After the success of its first performance in Béni Mellal, “Rêve” promises to move and raise awareness among the Tangier public thanks to immersive storytelling and young performances. Directed by Moroccan director Zakaria Kassi Lahlou, this poignant play highlights the realities of irregular migration and legal alternatives.
This unique theatrical project brings together a talented cast of young students from seven African nationalities: Moroccan, Congolese, Ivorian, Beninese, Chadian, Malian and Burkinabe. Through their performances, these actors reflect the diversity and richness of stories linked to migration, while promoting intercultural dialogue. “Through Rêve, we want to raise awareness among young people of the dangers of irregular migration while showing them that there are legal and secure alternatives to build their future,” says Concetta Mannino, project coordinator and country representative of Progettomondo Morocco.
