Thousands of people waited for him, some for almost 10 hours. This Wednesday, December 11, the YouTuber Inoxtag was signing at the BAB, in Bayonne, for the release of his manga, Instinct, already sold more than 220,000 copies.

Despite an organization shaken up by the crowds, the Youtuber’s communication was particularly well-established.

With more than nine million subscribers, Inoxtag, real name Inès Benazzouz, sparked a real crush in the usually quiet aisles of the shopping center. From 7 a.m., families were lining up in front of the shopping center doors to try to obtain the precious sesame: a bracelet and a stamp that will allow them to have Instinct, the YouTuber’s first manga, signed. “He’s incredible, he’s very handsome and he just climbed Everest.”explains Océane, between two jostles in the crowd. It gives inspiration and dreams.”

Her eyes bright with excitement, she hugs tightly to her one of the volumes of the manga, the best seller for three weeks. A few meters away, Naël bet on the full range to obtain a gesture from the star YouTuber. “I have two Kaizen t-shirts but here, I only wore one and I also have the manga for a signing”, he slips, full of hope despite a forgotten inscription.

Surpassing yourself is the message conveyed by his documentary, Kaizen, which retraces his ascent of Everest. A 2h30 video, already more than 39 million times. “He’s a fighter, he’s proven that he’s above everything and that he can do anything,” cowardly admiring Naël.

In the crowd, the parents, who have come to accompany their children, are quickly distinguished by their size and their faces, somewhere between surprise and fatigue. “We’ve been queuing since 7:45 a.m., when they opened the doors, everyone started running. They gave out nearly 500 bracelets even though there are only 120 places,” sighs Sophie, carrying her daughter on her shoulders. “I saw him, he made a heart with his hands”, recalls the latter, as the reward for this long wait.

Faced with the crowds, two shops, located near the venue, preferred to close during the afternoon, to avoid damage. On site, civil protection tries to take care of the lightly injured while containing the crowd.

If the organization seems “random” for some parents, the communication is well established. No interview and an arrival under the cries of thousands of fans, posted on the buildings around the shopping center and behind the railings, very protected, around 2 p.m., of Inès Benazzouz. For two hours, the YouTuber made dedications, little words and smiles to his ecstatic fans.
