The actor Pierre Palmade, sentenced at the end of November to five years in prison, including two years, for causing a road accident while under the influence of drugs, will not appeal this conviction, his lawyer Alain Barsikian announced to France Televisions, Tuesday December 3. An appeal would not have suspended the sentence imposed, because it was accompanied by provisional execution.
The Bordeaux prosecutor's office, where the actor resides, stressed that it would summon Pierre Palmade “within a month” after his conviction, to inform him of the terms of his incarceration. It must be made clear to him “the penal establishment in which he will be incarcerated, as well as the date and time at which he must report there”according to the prosecutor, Frédérique Porterie. The actor's incarceration “will take place within a maximum period of four months following the interview” in front of the prosecution.
