“When I received the film, I contacted Idina, because I think if you take a role that was created by and for someone, it’s [son] baby,” said the English actress. “It’s not trivial to see someone else take ownership of their role and make it their own. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable jumping in without first going back to the source. So I wanted to talk to Idina,” Cynthia Erivo continued, adding that the Glee actress simply told her: “to go for it and [se] to please. To play this role [sien]».

The actress of Harriet then spoke about a special moment shared with Idina Menzel during filming. “It was Idina who had the idea to adjust my hat. I’m going to send you back,” was one of the most wonderful moments ever, because it truly is a blink of an eye. It’s your role, go ahead, do it.” Wicked is currently in theaters.
