Who will be the future winner of the first novel competition for young people Gallimard Jeunesse Telerama and RTL? The 6th edition is officially launched this Wednesday, November 27, 2024! Is your novel aimed at children, adolescents or young adults? Have you never been published? Send us your manuscript before March 31, 2025.
The publishing house and its partners are renewing a competition which allowed five times the discovery of a new talent in children’s literature: Christelle Dabos with The Mirror Pass (2013), Lucie Pierrat-Pajot with The Mysteries of Larispem (2016), Kamel Benaouda with Norman has no superpowers (2018), Audrey Faulot with The Key to the Fields (2021) and Antonio Carmona with We don’t say sayonara (2023).
The competition is intended to be an invitation to all those who write for young people and would like to make their text known. The winner will see their text published by Gallimard editions Youth in November 2025, following the official announcement of the result of the competition at the Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse en Seine-Saint-Denis, in Montreuil.

How to participate
The competition is aimed at those who write for young people without having yet been published. Each participant proposes a novel, composed in French and aimed at an audience of young readers, children, adolescents or young adults. The manuscript must be submitted online, between November 27, 2024 and March 31, 2025, via the Gallimard Jeunesse website.
How is the winning text chosen?
The choice of the winning text is made in two steps. Firstly, the Gallimard Jeunesse reading committee selects three texts from all the manuscripts received. Then the competition jury chooses the winner from among the three “finalists”.
The winner is then supported in finalizing his manuscript, until the publication of his first novel in paper and digital version, according to a publishing contract with Éditions Gallimard Jeunesse. The publication of the winning novel is scheduled for November 2025.
