Sound… It soothes, enriches, amuse, lulls and reminds us of the fundamental benefit of listening !

The only festival in France dedicated to audio and sound creation for young audiencesthe France Bleu festival at Height of Children invites your little ones and teenagers to live a fun and immersive experience through numerous free workshops, upon registration.

From sound art to the production of information : this year, the festival focuses onmedia education and artificial intelligencewhich has become essential. Creating a radio show, discovering sound effects, creating a jingle, raising awareness about fake news… But also, sound games, shows, exhibitions and a giant boom!

If a large part of the workshops is reserved for school audiences on Thursday and Friday, the weekend of Saturday November 30 and Sunday November 1is December offers many activities for the general public. We present some of them to you:

Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (6 to 16 years old, 2 hours)

In this workshop, children are invited to discover the profession of journalist by interviewing an artist!

« crosses all borders. With her, I live, I communicate and I discover the other. Thanks to it, we will be able to offer young people the opportunity to experience their first interview, to express their point of view and talk about their dreams.», Explains the festival.

Mayssa’s Caravan comes with an artist who will answer all questions and thus allow young people to “see” and “listen” to things differently.

Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (12 to 16 years old)

Children and teenagers will have a day to create and present a radio show!

After the morning editorial conference, each budding journalist will go into the field to carry out interviews with artists, reports on the festival, and columns. The team will also edit NETIA software.

They will learn to write for the radio, to prioritize information, to construct a program. You will have to put your voice down, speak into a microphone, listen to yourself on headphones (not always easy!), understand the technique…

The program is dense but not impossible for an ambitious objective: recording a real show at the end of the day, broadcast on Saturdays on France Bleu Hérault!

With a sound effects workshop, the Uni’sons Association highlights the voice associated with sampling, instrumentals, and live recording. The workshop will show the behind the scenes of creating a rap sound from a sonic point of view, which would aim to encourage young people to enrich their musical culture while developing their listening skills.

Saturday at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. (6 to 16 years old / 45 minutes)

In the era of climate change, majestic mountain ranges are undergoing spectacular transformations. Too often perceived as a simple decoration or an exploited resource, the mountain is today threatened by human activities. This immersive fiction explores the capacity of animals and plants to restore balance, contrasting with the still uncertain quest of humans. Participants are invited to sign a new spiritual pact with the mountain, an invitation to reconcile our relationships with ourselves, others and the living world around us.
