Waiting for the shortlist
The film tells the story of Touda. This ambitious young woman who dreams of becoming a famous singer in the capital. Mother of a young deaf and mute 9-year-old boy, Touda begins to dream of a destiny while she sings every evening in a provincial bar with a certain success among the men at the table.
To optimize the film’s chances at the Oscars, Nisrin Erradi, who plays the lead role of Touda, toured the United States.
