The 2025 Lausanne-Morges agglomeration project put out for consultation
The 2025 version of the project provides for no fewer than 176 measures to be implemented in western Lausanne. The investment is expected to exceed 750 million francs.

The 5th generation Lausanne-Morges agglomeration project (PALM) is open for public consultation until December 31, 2024. With 176 measures, it is based on the themes of landscape, environment and energy , urbanization and mobility.
PALM brings together 36 partners. Under the leadership of the Canton of Vaud, they are working closely together to define the guidelines for the sustainable development of the Lausanne-Morges conurbation by 2040, the State of Vaud recalled on Wednesday in a press release.
The PALM 2025 project draws on the experiences of previous generations, the results of their implementation as well as new strategies and studies carried out since 2016. It provides for 176 measures, including 89 in terms of mobility eligible for co-financing. federal for the 2028-2032 horizon. The total investment would be 757 million francs.
New neighborhoods
In the Morgien region, PALM 2025 announces the finalization of major regional projects, such as the requalification of the cantonal road (RC1) and the creation of the greenway. The policy in favor of public transport continues with the redevelopment of the southern district of Saint-Prex station and access to Lonay-Préverenges station, the decarbonization of MBC buses, etc.
For its part, the center of Lausanne is planning to welcome new residents and jobs to the heart of the city. On the border with western Lausanne, the Malley-Manufacture district is beginning to change. The site will accommodate around 400 new residents and jobs.
Various requalifications
A little further west, between Lausanne and Prilly, Avenue du Chablais will make way for multimodality with the development of continuous and secure cycle paths, wide sidewalks and a one-way bus lane. Trees will be planted along the roadway to combat heat islands.
Further north, in Crissier, the high level of service bus (BHNS) will be extended between Crissier-Place centrale and the Lentillères stop to better serve the new Oassis district. This project will be accompanied by an urban requalification of the Prilly road integrating facilities for active mobility and landscaped areas.
Evaluation of the Confederation
The PALM 2025 public consultation opened on Wednesday and will run until December 31, 2024. It takes the form of a questionnaire that anyone can respond to in a few minutes on the website www.lausanne-morges.ch.
The PALM 2025 report will then be submitted to the Confederation on March 31, 2025 for evaluation. Objective: obtain co-financing of infrastructural measures.
