Valentin (L’amour est dans le pré) refuses to marry Flavie and explains: “It’s no use”

This 19th season of Love is in the meadow was a real success. Both from the point of view of audiences, that from the point of view of the couples formed. The production wanted to do everything possible to make this year a success in terms of meetings. Last season had in fact been a failure at this level. Among the most striking couples are obviously Valentin and Flavie.

The 26-year-old farmer based in wanted to participate in the show to finally being able to find love. This was done after there was some hesitation at the beginning between Ilona and Flavie. It was ultimately the latter who won his heart. But life wanted everything is not simple for them. The young woman was in fact diagnosed with cancer during filming. During the final episode, we were able to discover where their relationship was after this terrible ordeal.

Valentin talks about their future life together

Their adventure will not have been easy. Flavie, to conquer Valentin's heart, will have had to face in competition with Ilona to begin with. Once rid of her rival, she had the very unpleasant surprise of discovering that she had cancer. Not enough, however, to affect his relationship with Valentin and question his participation on the show. During the last episode of the season, Valentin confirmed that their plan was to move in together.

“Yes, in spring or at the end of winter we will say. The arrival of a woman in my life caused a lot of changes, we're not going to lie. I'm a little apprehensive about life together, it's going to take a turn for the worse. (…) This summer, she was convalescing at home and now I only see her on weekends. We’re less than two hours from each other.”

Flavie dreams of marriage

This love story marked by illness, this is a first for the production team of Love is in the meadow. They did everything to ensure that Flavie was in the best conditions despite her treatment. Today, the young woman is still being monitored to combat her sarcoma. Treatment that prevents her from having children, but not to get married. At this level, it is rather the farmer who slows down, as he explained during the same interview.

“She wants to get married, but I’m not necessarily ready. I'm not against it, but I tell myself that it's no use, we're already going to live together. But we'll see, we're not there yet! The children are a project too, but in any case for two years, it’s not possible because of his cancer treatment.”
