Daniel Craig’s replacement ‘won’t necessarily be white’, producers say

“It won’t necessarily be white. » James Bond is not doomed to always have white skin. In an interview with the Associated Press, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the producers of the saga of the famous secret agent, made revelations about Daniel Craig’s successor.

The English actor left the skin of the secret agent in 2021, in Dying can wait. Since then, no one has taken over the role. The question still remains as to which actor the producers chose. Some believe that Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick Ass, Bullet Train) could be the next 007. A little before, Regé-Jean Page was also announced, as was Lucien Laviscount. But Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson never validated any names.

“A period of adaptation”

“It will be a man. He will probably be in his thirties. It will not necessarily be white,” said Barbara Broccoli. The producer said that the actor would take 10 years, at least. The choice might surprise you. “One thing is certain: the public will go through a period of adaptation. Every James Bond has had its detractors, especially at the beginning,” recognized Barbara Broccoli. And to recall the “anti-Daniel nonsense [Craig] » that she was able to read. However, the five films starring Daniel Craig are the most profitable in the franchise.

“Every time we cast a new actor, the films change. “It’s the excitement of a new Bond, a new direction,” Michael G. Wilson said. Several actors succeeded one another in the role of James Bond, whose adventures appeared in 1962 with James Bond 007 vs. Dr. No. First there was Sean Connery, then George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and finally Daniel Craig.
