Once again, a thousand liters of soup were sold in the space of one morning, Place du Breuil, for the benefit of the works of Habitat et humanisme.
1,016 liters. Such is the volume of diverse and varied soups that found buyers on Saturday morning. From 8:30 a.m. on deck, in the mist and cold, volunteers and leaders were busy; the first to serve, sell, the others to cook. If most of the 34 chefs, including seven new ones, had concocted the soups in advance, a few kept the Place du Breuil lively, simmering porcini veloutés in the chadron, a specialty of the Grisons, a goulash or even a dubarry. Suffice to say that the Place du Breuil was full of joy on Saturday, so much so that some did not hesitate to enjoy a bowl there.

A good forty volunteers were mobilized as part of this event, the profits of which help to finance the operation of the three structures of the Habitat et humanisme association (La Colombe in Brives-Charensac, the Sainte-Croix family pension and the Phare in Puy), as well as certain equipment and collective activities aimed at creating links. “We welcomed displaced Ukrainians. As the aid stops, we must continue to help them,” remarked Marie-Thérèse Duboeuf, head of the support and volunteers center. On December 15, Habitat et humanisme organizes its Christmas market at the MPT in Brives-Charensac. Here again, the profits will be used to finance its activities.
