We sometimes wonder how to spend our Sunday. For this, the Rugloise cultural association (ACR) knows how to find solutions. Three Sundays a year, the entertainment structure of Rugles (Eure) organizes a pop-up restaurant to share a “tasty and accessible” meal with family or friends.

Sunday November 24in partnership with the Rugles media library, the ACR offers a full day of entertainment which begins around the table.

A Creole meal at the pop-up restaurant

At midday, the Acr’o pole transforms into “ pop-up restaurant » in which the cooks are none other than the famous “marmiteurs”, as well as the members of the “cuisine and heritage” project of the cultural association. Meet at 12 p.m. sharp to discover the day’s menu which will be a Creole meal imagined and concocted by the volunteers.

A la carte cod acras as a starter, followed by a pork colombo with red bean rice, then a coconut flan for dessert.

Screening of a documentary film in the village hall

Once fully satisfied, the day continues at the Rugles village hall, to follow the screening of a documentary offered by the Media Library at 3 p.m. This screening is part of a partnership with the Departmental Council as part of “Documentary Film Month”.

It’s a bit of an ephemeral cinema this time which will be offered by Sarah Loiseldirector of the Media Library.

“Papa goes away”, a multiple award-winning documentary

Several times awarded, it is the film “Papa s’en va” which will be offered to the public. In this documentary, the director, Pauline Horovitz addresses the retirement of her father, a doctor, but also the subject of the father/daughter relationship.

The Ephemeral Restaurant and the screening of the documentary film follow each other but are two events independent of each other. It is possible to participate in just one of them, or to combine both. “Everyone does as they wish. The idea is simply to offer a full Sunday of activities,” explains Estelle Martin, president of the ACR.
