A new creative hub, winner of the France 2030 call for projects “La Grande Fabrique de l’Image”, which is being deployed in Vendarguesa few minutes from the current site. This new 2-hectare site takes place within an 11-hectare audiovisual center. Opening planned in approximately fourteen months.
Two buildings, four platforms
The first phase of the project will see two buildings in 2025. Inside: four platforms of 300 to 800m2, offices, dressing rooms, storage and catering spaces. Two stages will be able to accommodate entertainment productions and stream productions, as well as a backlot space (exterior settings). A third buildingthe construction of which is under consideration, could be built at the end of this first phase of development. Filming capacity doubled, jobs created
Through this V Studios extension project, the commercial subsidiary France.tv studio plans to double its filming capacity on its historic Vendargues site. It should also generate the creation of numerous jobs in the audiovisual and cinematographic sector in Occitania. These will be added to the few 2,500 employees already present for productions like Such a big sun therefore, and soon to those of M6/SNDwho chose the Vendarguois site to shoot the set part of his future daily soap opera.
To take a concrete example, in 2023, the productions hosted generated more than 63,000 days of work for the 2,500 employees. More than 55 local actors have been hired, out of a total of 200. Currently, around sixty professions are already present on the site and new ones are expected to be deployed. On this subject, Carole Delga, the president of the Region, specified that fiction filming brought in 90 million euros of economic impact in 2022, with more than 700 companies in these sectors and more than 10,000 jobs.
