The kick-off was given this November 14, 2024 in the presence of the creator as well as the singer Vianney. After unveiling the windows at 6 p.m. then launching the big tree at 6:15 p.m., a Vianney showcase with the Maîtrise de Radio France was on the agenda.
This year, the tradition of windows of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann reached a historic milestone. For 130 years, they have embodied the spirit of the holidays in Paris and attract young and old to magical scenes and constantly renewed artistic creations. The department store, after celebrating its 130th anniversary in September, is extending the celebration with an exceptional Christmas. Kevin Germaniera leading figure in upcycled fashion, is responsible for imagining the costumes for the characters featured in the windows, always in a spirit of responsible creation. The Swiss designer, known for his bold and glamorous approach, has imagined windows where every detail tells a story. For this 130th Christmas, we are told 20,000 light pointsa sound and light show and futuristic details inspired by Germanier’s vibrant creations. We’re going to have to take out our sunglasses, friends, because this tree promises us a fireworks visual at its peak.
