In the middle of the books and between two signings, the eyes of Valérie Trierweiler and François Hollande met. This reunion between the two former spouses took place at the Brive-la-Gaillarde book fair on November 8. One came to present her new book “It’s for a friend” co-written with her friend Constance Vergara, while the other unveiled her sixteenth work “The challenge of governing – The Left and the power of the Dreyfus affair up to the present day.”

It’s no mystery, the breakup between François Hollande and Valérie Trierweiler was not a smooth ride. In 2014, the former head of state separated from the journalist after the revelation in the press of his affair with actress Julie Gayet. This was followed by the publication of the book “Thank you for this moment”, a work without glove or tweezers and particularly incriminating François Hollande.
