Lannemezan: the Illuminated Houses competition returns for Christmas

the essential
Put on hold last year due to increased energy, the illuminated houses competition returns at the end of the year.

Nicolas Touron, Colette Duclos, Marie-Claude Dupont and Jean-Claude Subias will be the members of the jury, who, as for the flower houses, will visit the homes of individuals participating in the Christmas lighting competition relaunched after a neutral year due to the crisis energy as explained by Bernard Plano, the mayor, delighted with this return: “We took a break last year. We suspended this competition because the price of energy had soared but this year, it is stabilizing and we invite people to use LEDs or solar.” Nicolas Touron, his deputy, was just as optimistic and happy with this return: “We stopped reluctantly. It’s true that today, there are alternatives to electricity and that’s a good thing for those who want to immerse themselves in the end-of-year holiday atmosphere, all lights out. The objective of this competition is to beautify the city during the end-of-year holiday season: “This complements this. what the city does when it comes to Christmas decorations. In fact, it’s the same thing as for gardens and flower houses, it allows residents to get involved and contribute to the magic of Christmas, in addition to what is done with the town hall each year, it’s complementarity”. A great example of living together and doing things together, for the happiness of all.

“Everyone will be rewarded”

Obviously, there is the notion of a competition even if all the competitors will have a prize whether they have a balcony, a piece of garden, an apartment, a house or any other premises to decorate and stage, in light: ” Everyone will be rewarded, it is above all a moment of sharing and conviviality, the aim being to participate in these illuminations, according to everyone’s means and to offer dreams to young and old alike.

Some residents are already registered and the others benefit from a nice deadline to do so since they have until December 15, almost a month, to do so, the heads in the air will even be able to squeeze in a few hours: “We want to remain flexible in that regard, it’s a competition but it remains friendly and without pressure, so if people are a little late to register, we will adapt.” On the jury, Jean-Claude Subias is an example of what is done in terms of party decoration in Lannemezan. A participation, just to make him swoon: “Yes, I have been decorating my house for several years but obviously, I am not participating in the competition but it makes me happy”.

To register, simply call the Lannemezan town hall or go directly to the site, give your address and then the jury will agree to an appointment for the visit a few days before Christmas for an awards ceremony in during the month of January. So everyone, use your LEDs, lamps and solar decorations to make the town of Lannemezan shine brightly for a few weeks, thanks to the involvement of the Lannemezanais.
