This Friday, November 8 in Callac, a check worth €14,500 was presented for the benefit of research on cystic fibrosis at the Inserm Unit in Brest, represented by Professor Tristan Montier, in the presence of the ATD company. (Argoat Turbo Diffusion) and the endowment fund of the Fondation Banque Populaire and Crédit Maritime Grand Ouest; these three companies are behind the fundraising. The PLB Muco and Gaétan Saleün associations position themselves as essential players in the fight against cystic fibrosis and wish to create a real surge of solidarity to improve the lives of people affected by this disease.
The amount of this check will be added to the €100,000 endowment from the Region, and €45,000 from the PLB Muco association. The amount raised will be used to acquire cellular imaging equipment, in order to promote the development of a treatment for cystic fibrosis by the research laboratory, the cost of which is around €170,000. “The device should be delivered in the first half of 2025. It will help us to obtain the best for our patients. These solidarity actions are a great example of resilience, of exemplarity, thank you doubly for your action,” commented Professor Montier.
